How to Import Bookmarks in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge makes it easy to import bookmarks from an HTML file. Follow these steps to add your Bookmark Forge file to Edge's favorites.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Edge and click the three-dot menu (...) in the top-right corner
  2. Go to Favorites → Manage Favorites (or press Ctrl+Shift+O / ⌘+Shift+O)
  3. Click the three-dot menu (...) in the Favorites panel
  4. Select Import favorites
  5. Choose Favorites or Bookmarks HTML File
  6. Click Choose File, navigate to your bookmarks.html file, and select it
  7. Your bookmarks will appear in the Favorites bar

Tips

  • Toggle the Favorites bar: Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or ⌘+Shift+B (Mac)
  • Edge calls bookmarks “favorites” — they work the same way
  • You can also access favorites via edge://favorites in the address bar
